About Basic Apt

Basic APT is a 2 1/2 axis NC/CNC programming system which utilizes a subset of the powerful APT part programming language. Basic APT is included with Visual CamScript along with basic postprocessors for Lathe and Mill/Drill machines.

Basic APT is suitable for light commercial work and is especially suited for those who want to learn the APT language. Basic APT is used in many schools and colleges to teach APT programming. All programs written for Basic APT are upward compatible with virtually all other APT systems.

The APT language is a powerful tool for Engineers and Designers to solve complex geometry problems.

If you need more productive features than Basic Apt provides, you may upgrade to the more powerful Personal Apt V2.6. Your Basic Apt programs are completely upward compatible with Personal Apt V2.6.
