Personal Apt 2.7

Personal Apt is a complete NC/CNC part programming and tape preparation system. Personal Apt consists of the Apt language processor (AptPro) and two user-configurable postprocessors (MMPOST and MLPOST). Two configuration modules (MMCONFIG and MLCONFIG) are provided to manipulate the various options for MMPOST and MLPOST.

Personal Apt provides 2 1/2 axis NC/CNC part programming capability and a powerful set of mathematical functions and geometry descriptions. These features also aid in the solution of complex problems that are often encountered by Engineers, Designers and Draftspersons. Personal Apt utilizes a subset of the most powerful and most widely used NC/CNC programming language, APT. Compatibility with APT provides you with an upward growth path, as your work increases in complexity, without having to learn a new programming language. Also, Personal Apt is so easy to use that it is ideal for learning the APT language and programming concepts. Many schools and colleges are presently using Personal Apt for APT training.

Master Postprocessors
Master Mill Postprocessor (MMPOST) and Master Lathe Postprocessor (MLPOST) are user-configurable postprocessors for use with Personal Apt to produce tape image data for milling and turning machines. The user may configure any of over 200 options that control, among other things;

MMPOST and MLPOST are distributed with companion configuration programs. MMCONFIG and MLCONFIG allow the user to browse through the user controlled OPTION TABLE and make changes as desired. The current status of each of the options is displayed on the screen in Edit Boxes. Any or all of the options may be edited by the user to suit individual requirements. Each OPTION TABLE is then stored for subsequent use when it is specified in the part program MACHIN statement.

With the many options available, the OPTION TABLE combinations are virtually unlimited. However, since the software is designed for general purpose use, we can not guarantee that you will be able to generate data that is customized precisely for your needs. You may need to edit the tape image data to achieve 100% customized data.

Setting the various options and the inherent flexibility of the APT postprocessor words like AUXFUN, INSERT, POSTN, PREFUN and SEQNO give you a very high degree of control over your tape image output data.
